Vídeo-performance em inglês e português. Baseado no vídeo de 1949 do Escritório de Coordenadação de Assuntos Interamericanos mantido pelos Estados Unidos, restaurado digitalmente por Jeff Quitney. 

O filme combina documentação fotográfica, vídeo e áudio do arquivo do artista de pesquisa histórica de 2015-2021 e documentos de arquivo que mostram os efeitos de 320 anos de exploração mineral.


Ele faz parte de um extenso projeto da artista investigativa Júlia Pontés. Desde 2014, o artista estuda, documenta, pesquisa e denuncia os impactos socio-ambientais causados pela mineração.

Mineral Veins


Performance video in English and Portuguese. Based on the 1949 video from the Office of the Coordinator of Inter-American Affairs, digitally restored by Jeff Quitney. It combines photographic, video, and audio documentation from the artist's archive from 2015-2021 historical research and archival documents showcasing the effects of 320 years of mineral exploration.


The video is part of an extensive project by investigative artist Júlia Pontés. Since 2014, the artist has been studying, documenting, researching, and denouncing the socio-environmental impacts caused by mining.
